Holly Hunter, an American actress and film producer is well-known for her stellar roles in movies such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. The actress won numerous awards, like an Oscar for the movie Piano. Actresses have an extensive career of involvement in Broadway as well as Off-Broadway projects. In her early years, Helen Keller was her favourite character in a fifth class production. Following a bout of mumps, she went deaf on one side the ear. But, it didn't stop her from pursuing her dream to be an actress. While in college, she studied drama and moving into New York City with her plans with her sights set. Hunter was trapped in an elevator with the playwright Beth Henley when she met her. They worked together to write Broadway Crimes of the Heart that marked the debut of Hunter on Broadway. After she was settled in Los Angeles, she began looking for roles in films. The role she was offered came as an actress supporting the leading character Swing Shift. For the past 30 years Holly Hunter has been on many TV and film shows. Holly Hunter won a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, in addition to her Women in Film Lucy Award.
